Excellent condition. S/N 142. A single 19”, 3U rack unit, includes Controller, Distortion, Phase Shifter, Mixer and Digital Delay modules. This is a very rare beast, made around 1982, only 200 or so produced. The present owner bought this in 2010, it had a brief service early on and it’s still working pretty well.
On switch-on, the Controller lights up at preset 11, other presets can then be accessed. Switching to manual mode (‘Preset’ off) enables instant effects editing. You can then choose each effect in turn by pressing the ‘IN’ button at the top of each module panel and then record the settings as a preset.
Audio inputs and outputs are on the rear of each module. Note – the Phaser module back panel is missing – this doesn’t affect operation. The modules work fine, though the Delay can be noisy at long delays.
The auction includes the original manual with service data and schematics. The manual also includes original documentation on the ‘Ambience Package’, the Transpose Module and the Parametric EQ module. Also included is a ribbon cable for module servicing.
The voltage selector on this unit is currently set to 220V (the unit has been operated at nominal 230V). Please just provide your own IEC mains lead. Weighs 10kg. Measures 48x34x13.5cm.
