MCS-1 Digital Delay / Sampler |
| Description |
Powertran MCS1 delay line/sampler - just one owner from new!
Designed by Tim Orr and Richard Monkhouse in 1982 these were well ahead of their time. Sold as kits that now seem crazily expensive at over £600 (1800GBP in today's money). It can function as a long freezable delay line with the ability to hugely slow down the bit rate. Or as a MIDI controlled monophonic sample, or as a mono sampler triggered by gate and CV. Original assembly manual included. Some rack-rash, but otherwise in good shape and full working order. VEMIA note: kit products are hugely variable because of the standard of construction and expertise. It's rare to find one of these potentially amazing machines in full working order, but that's possibly explained by the fact that the seller is a highly-respected tech. Packing at VEMIA 12GBP.
