 Model Linn 9000 (HxC) Tears for Fears etc
 Description Manny Elias: 'I used this Linn 9000 in my time with Tears For Fears and then later less frequently with other artists. The 9000 is in fantastic condition. I originally bought this machine from SYCO systems in London. I have the original Manual and warranty card and will include the service invoice from my tech as well. The Serial Number is: 451035. Memory is 64 kbytes. Software version according to my Service engineer is: 5.17 but I cannot guarantee it.' [VEMIA note: OS confirmed as 5.17]

At VEMIA, as well as installing the HxC USB drive to solve the issue of an unreliable disk drive, and servicing the pads, we have also installed a new white backlight. The Linn was photo'd before going to our tech, so see the extra photos for how it is now, with HxC and backlight. . NB: it seems like almost every time we move it, one or more of the cards needs re-seating - especially the end card which has the floppy cable attached. If all cards aren't seated properly you get hum and missing sounds - typical of card-frame machines like this, the Polymoog & PS series. Best to keep it in one place in the studio or be prepared to open it up after transport. The HxC card has a great library of sounds including from the LM-1. Switchable voltage - currently set to 220V. *** BUT NB The Phihong PSA-523BU power supply has actually been over-ridden with a switch-mode supply. We have no way of knowing if this is switchable / universal power, but it is definitely good for 220-240V areas. You need an IEC lead. ***
