From Morgan Fisher (Mott the Hoople/Queen keyboardist)’s personal collection. Used very sparingly, and mainly in his studio. AKAI’S top-of-the-line rackmount sampler, the last they made before concentrating on drum-pad style sampling workstations. One of two offered in this auction. This Z8 contains an 18Gb internal hard disk, sample memory is maxxed at 512Mb, and the latest OS (1.45) is installed. It also has the ADAT optical digital interface installed (see photos). It is in VG to near-mint condition, in full working order, with only slight scratches on the case, and a tiny amount of rust on the rack ears. The hi-res screen is 100% bright and clear. A 5ft 6-pin cable is included, allowing you to detach the front panel and edit wherever you like . . . . . .
