Description |
The blurb when I bought this from Vemia a few years ago:
'A 100-year-old telephone tester's box converted into a simple vocoder / pitch-changer? But once I started playing with it, putting a drum machine through it, it started to make a bit more sense. The central eye acts as a D-beam type of controller, and the other switches affect range and other attributes. The weird thing in the middle (bakelite headphone earpiece on a pole) is supposed to act as a rudimentary, quiet monitor if you choose, but I couldn't work out how to get it to make sound. When you look at it as a work of art (as well as something that produces some pretty wild sounds from a simple drum machine or other sound source) it makes Damien Hirst seem several hundred times over-priced. This is literally unique. Uses a 9V battery (not included).'
The website does not exist any more, I cannot seem to get the unit to make any usable noises so sold as is, could be a dead battery or user error or its faulty, very simple electronics inside so should be a simple fix for anyone who has basic knowledge of electronic circuits or knows how to use this. SOLD AS SEEN, NO GUARANTEE OF WORKING ORDER. VEMIA will collect, pack and ship this after the auction. Packing 4GBP. |
