| Description |
On the face of it, a very ordinary early Mackie 1604 mixer. But it comes from Brian Eno's studio, and was a surprisingly important part of his musical life for many years. His assistant says that when the van came to collect his things, this was maybe the item that he was most sad to see go.
Most of the faders are a bit noisy at the moment (though a clean would probably see them working perfectly again), and there are some nasty glue remains where the channels were labelled in front of the faders. Please bid accordingly.
But this is quite an historic piece of gear, which was practically the mainstay of his studio ever since he bought it when they first became available. It will come with written provenance from the man himself.
It also has its original manual. |
