This shamefully is another synth bought for 4500GBP in VEMIA four years ago ready for a studio re-organisation which hasn't happened. It has sat on a shelf next to the Juergen Haible CS50 waiting for the call - which has never come.
This is no ordinary bog-standard Minimoog. The seller originally paid a high price for it in about 2015, with good reason. He was playing in the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble and had had reliability issues with his first Minimoog. So he went for one which was fully re-conditioned and guaranteed to be ultra-reliable - while still sounding superb.
Our tech checked it over on arrival as a matter of routine and found that the only thing he could improve was a slight recalibration of OSC3. Everything else, he said, was 100%, and he particularly liked the keyboard feel and action and the pot feel and response, which felt almost like new. Plus it sounds great.
I got it down from the shelf today to put in the auction, and it still sounds and plays great. Some pots were a bit noisy or had flat spots, but this improved very quickly, and the whole thing exudes essence of Minimoog.
You might want to get it checked out again before recording or live performance.
Packing 18GBP.
