STC 4136 1st UK fet microphone |
| Description |
STC 4136 microphone in original CASE and its extra external protective sleeve
This is the 48v version
Production I believe from some time in the 1970's to about 1981 -
Believed in 1977 the logo changed so this is estimated born in the 1970-77 era.
Very little info on this and its one of the un common STC microphones .
It is known to be the first FET microphone built in the UK - Possibly the 2nd in the world (as sites that mention it as first ever get corrected by some) .
Abbey road had six of these , This model gets a mention in 'recording the Beatles'
