 Model 5U/MU/.com STG Env/Modulation/AMult
Description 3 Suit and Tie Guy 5U/MU/.com modules bundle: Vanilla Env & Modulation based on SEM and Active Multiples. The muSonics Vanilla Envelope is an ADS(R) EG and VCA based on the circuits of the Oberheim SEM.The VCA has its control input normaled to the positive output of the EG, so you only need a gate signal and audio signal to get a meaningful output from the VCA.The envelope generator is an all transistor design except for the output level shifting and inversion, and the integrated VCA is a dual OTA circuit based on the 3080 VCA in the SEM but with increased input gain and uses both OTA cells of a 13700 chip to increase signal-to-noise ratio and reduced ringing in the output buffer stage. Vanilla Modulation combines all of the modulation sources in a certain 1970s two voice synthesiser into one module. The top third are sources. There is a low frequency oscillator with square and sine outputs, and a noise source tuned a bit in between white and pink so it can be used for both audio and modulation. The middle is a sample hold, with its inputs normaled to the noise and square wave. The bottom of the module is an lag or glide processor with exponential response. Yes it can process 1v/oct control signals. Its input is normaled to the sample hold output. The Active Multiples module is a set of 3 4-output buffered multiples. The lower multiple has two inputs allowing it to act as a unity gain mixer as well. Buffered multiples are important for control and trigger routing because they ensure that no unexpected impedance loading damages the scaling of control voltages or the strength of trigger signals.
