| Description |
Still an underrated gem, here's the 1985 Roland six-voice dual oscillator analog synth at a low entry price. High-pass and 24dB/oct resonant low-pass filter, dual envelopes, velocity and aftertouch sensitivity and full MIDI implementation.
You can pair it with one of the hardware programmers available, but that’s not really necessary — there are several excellent free software editors to choose from these days. Cosmetic condition: Some light oxidation can be seen on the main panel on a few areas, otherwise a good, attractive unit (please, see the pics).
Functionally: The synth delivers that classic, round and pleasing tone with the unmistakable warm vintage Roland vibe. A couple of keys aren’t producing sound [maybe the rubber contacts¿?]. Aftertouch and velocity both respond properly. The pitch-bend lever works fine for pitch control, but I couldn’t get it to activate vibrato, so the unit is being sold as is. The JX special 2-prong square AC power cord cable lead is included.
