For sale is an extremely rare Musique Industrie analog mixer with spring reverb.
Produced in France the company is mainly known for the amp's they produced with Marcel Dadi in the 60's and 70's. They also produced mixers from a small 4 channel version to a full 24 channel inline console.
This mixer is 8 channels and although cosmetically a little bit worn is 100% fully functional. It sounds fantastic and the mic pres are great. It's clean but definitely has it's own character and can go from pretty transparent to really nicely overdriven if you run a hot signal into the mic pre's. The EQ is baxandall and really great for broad strokes tone control. Sweet hi end and solid bass - reminds me a little of the hi and low bands on a Trident.
Locking switchcraft connectors for the power supply and outputs - to get the most out of it you'd want to make up a loom for the line inputs and direct outs (on the same connector) Makes the ideal sub mixer for drums or paired with a decent soundcard would make an awesome portable frontend for live recordings.
It has the following features -
- 8 Fantastic Mic Pres
- 8 Line inputs
- 8 Line Outputs (Can be used as Direct outs. Pre or Post fade)
- 8 x Baxandall EQ's (High and Low, really sweet sounding)
- Detented pots
- 2 FX sends (Spring reverb + external Echo send/rtn)
- Foldback (an aux which can be a third FX send)
- Spring Reverb inside!
- Tape Send + Return
- Can be run off 220v or 24V
- Large VU meter with lamp
- Headphone output with unique cue systems (large knob under bottom right)...
- Can be mounted in a 19inch rack if you remove the case (it's 6U I think)...
- Extension Input - You can probably use this to feed more channels into it....
It's currently in France but can be brought to the UK in a flightcase/handluggage.
