Description |
Roland System 700 main cabinet, sequencer block & keyboard with original power supply.
A rare opportunity to acquire one of the greats of analogue synthesis
This Roland System 700 Main Cabinet, Sequencer block & keyboard are 240 volt units, originally supplied into the Australian market, and now available for inspection in the UK and for shipping worldwide. The plugs are Australian but easily changed in minutes to your country's (eg UK, Europe etc).
Meticulously maintained, the main cabinet & sequencer are in full working order and as can be seen from the photographs, and appreciated when inspected, the units are in impeccable cosmetic condition.
The original System 700 keyboard is inoperative, but in excellent cosmetic condition and fixable. A Roland System 100M keyboard that currently works with the units is also provided with this package.
The System 700 featured in the story of analogue synthesis in the 1970s, and became the key instrument for early electronic artists including Hans Zimmer, Giorgio Moroder, Vince Clarke, The Human League and Depeche Mode. The provenance of this machine, is that it has been in the private collection of Nicole Skeltys, an electronic artist and producer well known and respected in the Australian electronic music scene. The instrument has been used in a number of her published works over the last three decades.
This is a once in a decade opportunity to acquire what is believed to have been just 1 of 45 units ever produced. Its sound remains unrivaled and is sought after to this day.
The units are complete with the original front cover panels & keyboard case and are also supplied with a raNGE of the original manuals, as well as some now hard to find spare electronic components however it should be noted that none have been required during the last 30 years.
