Melodiana vintage accordion,case AS |
| Description |
I actually imported this from the USA about 15 or 20 years ago. It might have been easier to find one in Italy, but I couldn't resist it. It looks in very good condition though I'm no expert. It certainly produces the sort of authentic vintage sounds you can't get from any electronic gear, great for recording. ***AFTER HAVING A GO WITH IT THIS IS AN OVER-OPTIMISTIC ASSESSMENT. YOU CAN GET SOME SOUNDS OUT OF IT BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THERE IS A LOT NOT RIGHT! *** One of the 120 bass buttons seems to be depressed (who can blame it after many years sat in the dark?) or missing. Really vintage and classic Italian names for voices: Fagotto, Organo, Orchestra, Clarinetto - plus Celeste and Bandoneon. The case is plush-lined, and fake crocodile skin outside - presumably from the late 50s or early 80s? Made in the home of Italian accordians, Castelfidardo - with the sort of hand-making brilliance that would cost many many thousands nowadays. SOLD AS IS, WITH A FAR LOWER START PRICE! It still looks amazing. Packing 15GBP. |
