| Description |
A classic early digital delay, s/n M4154, fully serviced by Hideaway in Feb / March 2022. Here's Dani's report: Unit rebuilt with two Delay Channel options present
• NB: Full FIFO memory option present
• NB: Backplane/PSU sub-assembly previously fully recapped with a mix of Bulk EL, metal film & small EL caps
• Some tantalum supply decoupling caps replaced on input and output boards
• NB: Tantalum caps on FIFO board appear to have been replaced in the past with MF and EL caps
• Severe dry joints identified and repaired on some of the DBX cards. Broken toggle switches removed/replaced.
• Input level knob had been replaced with a preset trimmer in past – replaced with correct pot and control knob
• Ribbon cable headers secured in sockets with cable ties
• Rear panel drilled to accept grounding point and chassis earth safety bonded. Unit marked for 240V operation
• FIFO memory tested with sine wave – no memory errors appear to be present
• Dislodged red display lens removed, cleaned, drilled and secured with UNC screws
• Unit reassembled with a new set of black UNC screws and various cosmetic improvements
• Unit configured for 240V - Unit powered and all functions tested present. Unit soak tested
