AM8000R and DL8000R pair! |
Description |
It doesn´t get much rarer than this, Korg´s failed attempt at making multi-effects processors which play in the same league as Eventide. Not overly popular (thanks to being rather expensive) in their lifetime, now they have become nearly impossible to find. The AM8000R Ambience Multi Effect Processor boasts a plethora of chorus, phasing, flanging, and delay algorithms -- among them a very authentic simulation of a tape delay, and an even more authentic-sounding 'Retro Phaser'. Add to this some usable reverb settings (not Lexicon by any standards but.. well, okay). Very complex editing -- which is not overly intuitive thanks to its rather unorthodox way of organising various layers of programming. Its companion, the DL8000R Digital Multi-Tap Delay, is equally endowed with extremely complex types of delay effects, often with unique triggering options and rhythmically complex delay patterns. Most interesting are its long delay settings of up to five seconds stereo (or ten seconds mono).
Both units come with their original power supplies and a manual each (one in German, one in English). Cosmetically, they are both in very nice shape with just some minor rack rash (and some very superficial scratches to the front of the DL8000R). Insert of the DL knob cap not original but it has always been that way. Technically, both work the way they should. Hard to find separately, nearly impossible to find as an extremely powerful couple. |
