Original Fuzz Face from 1970s |
Description |
Classic fuzz from the 70s, Dallas Music Industries Ltd manufacture. In pretty good cosmetic condition for its age. Quite why they seem to have smeared the glue onto the pedal before fitting the rubber is beyond me, when they could have put the glue on the rubber and pressed it on ... but they are all like this from this era. All vintage parts, it looks like, except for one capacitor - now replaced by a correct 70s cap (not photographed). **Actually, there are two different vintage germanium transistors in here - an OC-45 as well as the OC-81D more easily visible in the pic - being a matching pair is much more important than being two of the same exact type, and this was clearly chosen because it sounds awesome.** One knob has a damaged skirt, and there are some marks in the silver paintwork - to be expected, for sure. A lovely bit of history, and a classic germanium sound. Packing 3GBP. |
