Acxel Re-synthesiser (24 voice!) |
Description |
Yes, check the pics, it's true:- a Technos Acxel with three voice cards (for a total of 24 voices). A very rare example of a very very rare machine.
The PSU is switchable from 230V to 110V, the 'Solitary' (the brain) is flightcased and the whole machine works like a charm. No manuals or sound library but manuals can probably be arranged. It is a pretty straightforward machine though, with dedicated buttons for about every function. It's excellently working. After all these years, the gas in the hydraulic arm for the 'Grapher' is not giving enough pressure to keep the grapher in an upright position, but that should be an easy fix (buying a new hydraulic arm). [VEMIA note: this always happens with struts like this - same on the Waldorf Wave. Not a difficult fix, or you can use the low-tech solution the buyer suggests]:- We have had this folded upright by putting a book behind it though. OS disks included. I've never seen any other than 8 voice systems for sale, so I guess this would be pretty esoteric. There were somewhere around less than 38 of these machines built and sold.
The best resource for this super rare machine is probably http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technos_acxel |
