 Make Moog
 Model Memorymoog serial number 1301X
Description Classic! This must have been one of the earliest Memorymoogs exported by Moog to Europe (so it makes you wonder who originally owned it - we couldn't find out). It is in very nice cosmetic condition - excellent except for three things. 1. one endcheek is a bit scratched up, but we reckon a good woodworker could polish that up in no time. 2. there's some sticker residue / muck on the second M of the Memorymoog logo on the back, and 3. it's currently missing its dual concentric knobs for VCO pitch control. The exact replacements by Rogan have been ordered from the USA and HAVE NOW BEEN fitted before the end of the auction. It has been thoroughly checked over by Lucid ready for this auction. As an early machine it takes quite a time to get to temperature, and don't forget it needs to be on a keyboard stand not a solid table, so the fan can do its work. Plus its autotune 'window' is fairly narrow - again, being patient before pressing autotune brings up '6 TUNED' for us with no problem. The upside of having to wait 15 minutes or so is that it then sounds huge / enormous/ massive - whatever word you use to describe the archetypal Memorymoog heft. Lucid thought it seemed even huger than others he'd worked on.

We are slightly worried that even if we pack it to our highest standard (25GBP) it may suffer from transport shocks and need some minor re-calibration or chip / cable re-seating on arrival. It's maybe best not to bid on this if you are a long way from any technical assistance.
